Dr. McAlister received her Master's of 教育 in Supervision at Lamar University and her Ph.D. in Family Studies at Texas Woman's University in 2006. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) and a Registered 教育al Diagnostician. 她, by Gubernatorial appointment, to the Texas State Board of Examiners of LPC's from 1999 to 2003. While employed by Dallas ISD, Gay supervised 40 to 80 school counselors per year. 作为一名兼职教练, she taught at Lamar University in Beaumont and the University of Texas, 泰勒. She is a member of numerous associations in the field with presentations at Texas 教育 Association meetings, Texas 评估 Conference, 大学委员会, and at every Texas 咨询 Association Annual Professional Growth Conference from 1988-2013. National conference presentations include the American 咨询 Association, American School Counselor Association, and the National High School Conference.
