莎拉•布朗 joined the SMU 体育运动管理 faculty in January 2020. She teaches Applied Management in Sport, 当代体育问题, 高级项目, and Sport Data Analytics in the undergraduate program and 研究 Design in the graduate program. 在加入新大之前，博士. Brown taught courses at Texas A&米大学 (where she completed her doctoral work) and Texas Women’s University. 此前,博士. Brown worked as a corporate attorney. She has experience working for the Texas Rangers and multiple fortunate 100 companies including Nike.

Dr. Brown is an active sport scholar with research interests in the creation, management and extension of sport brands in the digital era. Specifically, she explores how brands can leverage new technologies to advance their market position. Dr. Brown has presented her research at several national conferences including Sport Marketing Association (SMA) Conference, North American Society for 体育运动管理 (NASSM) Conference, Sport Recreation and Law Association (SRLA) conference, and National Association of African American Students & 分支机构会议.

Dr. Brown earned her PhD from Texas A&米大学. 在德克萨斯大学的时候&M，她赢得了伯纳德P. Dr. Brown did her undergraduate work at Pennsylvania State University where she double-majored in Public Relations and Political Science.

Dr. Brown lives in Dallas with her husband Sean and their two daughters. She enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and exercising.
